Ammonium Sulphate and Guano Products
Once again, we will be here to help you with all your soil and plant nutrition needs.
While writing this (Friday 20th November) it is a perfect day for harvesting; very light breeze and about 34 degrees. Across SA the season has been variable but mostly pretty good with forecast of above average deliveries of grain. Here at Orroroo after three difficult years it is a big relief to see well above average yielding crops. The weather for next couple of weeks looks OK so here’s hoping. We all need to bank this one.
At our farm west of Eurelia or north west of Orroroo, 440mls of rain has been recorded for the year giving us a dramatic turn around from back on back drought which was the first in my time.
All grades of Ammonium Sulphate will be available along with Guano Phosphate plus Potassium, Sulphur, and trace elements. Custom blends of various nutrients to suit individual requirements are our specialty. We have done a few blends this year with up to seven different nutrients to match their soil report.
As we operate in all States and particularly in the Eastern States, they are harvesting huge crops we are looking forward to the next season in anticipation of a return of confidence.
At present world fertiliser prices are higher this year compared to same time last year. Nitrogen prices are higher but not as much as Phosphate prices with DAP/MAP $US120 or $AUS170 per ton higher. Shipping freight is also much higher so we can expect Australian fertiliser prices to reflect these increases unfortunately. However, we were at ten year lows the last couple of years.
Here at Soil Management Systems we will be able to release our prices by mid-December.
