The South East Field Days
Our Soil Management Systems team packed up our Soil Test Kits, Banners and Product Samples and headed off to the South East Field Days on the 15th & 16th of March in Lucindale. The weather was glorious and we Northerners even saw a ting of green. As with most years that we attended, we enjoyed catching up with existing customers and spoke to them about their harvest that just finished. The South East enjoyed a good year as they were able to grow the crops and enjoyed the higher prices. We also enjoyed meeting new customers who came into our marquee inquiring about our products and soil testing.

Better Soils without Chemicals
The occurrence of soil health and regenerative farming systems groups is growing rapidly worldwide. Here in South Australia many farmers are really looking into how their inputs effects their soils, plants, plus animal and human health. The farmers that came into see us to discuss their soil and cropping ideals gave us confidence that the trend for better soils without chemicals is growing.
While attending Field days we emphasize that healthy balanced soil is the main key to growing a healthy plant. If your soil is bustling with the correct microbes, the greater diversity and degree of biological activity. This will improve the soils physical structure, creating greater soil carbon levels. A great way to improve your Soils is to incorporate Guano into your schedule. SMS Guano is comprised of biological combination of seabird droppings, decomposed seabirds, coral, kelp, fish and other sea life. The application rate is at least half that of single super phosphate and similar rate to MAP/DAP. Guano has additional trace elements, this product really provides you outstanding value. This year the number of visitors and inquiries was way up on last year. More Soil Tests were handed out to farmers to take home to gather their soil for analysis. After this Brenton will discuss their soils needs. Read the full story here.
